THE BUDDHIST LIBRARY SUNDAY DHAMMA SCHOOL

Overarching Aim:
To propagate the Buddha’s teachings by giving guidance and assistance to all students of Buddhism.
Philosophical Underpinning:
The Triple Gem
Activities:
Combination of pedagogical approaches which include expository delivery, open discussions, videos and *DHAMMIC DELIGHTS.
*Dhammic Delights is a package of Dhammic activities to to engage the students with the Dhamma.

Young Buddhist Leaders Programme:
The Sunday School is currently in the process of identifying a group of students for this programme. The students will undergo a leadership training programme to be held at the end of the year. They will serve as student leaders for the Sunday School and the Buddhist Library in 2007.
NEW curriculum 2007:
A new set of curriculum will be launched in 2007 to streamline and sharpen the focus of the Dhamma education programme. More details by end of the year.
Teacher and Student Recruitment:
The recruitment drive for teachers is on track and is on-going. An induction programme will be conducted prior to the release of the new curriculum.
Student recruitment will take place in the last quarter of 2006.
